We are registered with the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) certificate attached. We are aware of our duties under CDM as principal contractor. Health and safety is central to our business operation. It forms the corner stone of our business processes and links directly to our certification ISO9001 Quality and ISO14001 Environment. Our Managing Director is responsible for ensuring that all resources required to ensure a safe working environment are provided. This includes provision for training and supervision.
All employees receive annual Health and Safety training which is topped up by specific training days and toolbox talks. Example of training day cert is attached.
Employees are each issued with a Health and Safety code of conduct handbook which emphasises the responsibility of the employee and the importance of Health and Safety to the company in being able to deliver quality service for its customer.
All works have a method statement and Risk assessment for specifics in addition dynamic RA are used employees must complete these for every job and must report to the Contract manager any potentially unsafe work practices. Examples attached.
All employees are responsible for reporting accidents and near misses to the contract manager.
